Relationships Scotland

OUR SERVICES

Argyll Couple Counselling

Anyone over the age of sixteen can make an appointment. We see both couples and individuals. You may be married, living together, in a same sex relationship, separated, divorced or single.

OUR COUNSELLORS

Our volunteer Counsellors are trained over three years to Advanced Certificate level, validated by the University of Edinburgh. Each Counsellor abides by the Codes of Ethics and Practice of BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy) and COSCA (British Association of Sexual & Relationship Therapy).

They undergo regular supervision by Couple Counselling Scotland's (CCS) professional Supervisor and undergo continual training and development. They are assessed by CCS annually.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Our Counsellors are bound by a duty of confidentiality. Nothing learned from a client, during counselling, can be passed on outside the service, unless there is a clear legal duty to do so.

Also, the fact of your initial call to us, or the fact that you have visited one of our centres cannot be passed on outside the service.

Our Counsellors work voluntarily, but it costs us about £50 per appointment to cover all our expenses, running costs, and the continuing training and the supervision of our Counsellors.

You may make contributions towards your counselling, online, by clicking here or following the link on the right. You will be given the option of donating anonymously, if preferred.

VOLUNTEERS

Our Charity is run by a committee of committed volunteer Trustees, with the help of a paid part time co-ordinator who organises the day to day running of the group.

We are always looking for new volunteers who may be able to offer us their skills and input at a level to suit them. This may be for a just few hours a year at quarterly trustee meetings, plus e-mail communication, or more depending on the time you can offer.

Volunteering provides an opportunity to obtain valuable experience and knowledge in a variety of fields, which can be beneficial in future career development, as well as being a rewarding way of contributing to your local community.

If you would like to find out more, please e-mail us for our volunteer information.
